2022 Consumer Checkpoint: Behaviors + Trends of Wine Consumers

From global supply chain disruptions and inflation anxiety, to unpredictable weather events and the massive expansion of ready-to-drink spirits and cocktails, instability has been a constant in the wine industry. 

With the return to a semi-normal life came a 16.8% increase in wine sales in 2021, according to a Gomberg & Fredrikson report, mostly due to consumers heading back to restaurants and bars. Now that dining out is back in full swing, how are things looking and what new wine drinking habits have taken over post-quarantine? 

In response to this shift in recent behavior and interest in wine, OnePulse decided to ask 500 consumers from our U.S. Pulser community how their behaviors have changed and what they really think about the latest wine trends.
