How to Navigate California’s New Abusive Conduct Training Regulation (AB 2053)

Since 2004, companies conducting business in California that have 50 or more employees have been required to provide their managers with sexual harassment prevention training under California state law AB 1825.

On September 9, 2014, California Governor Jerry Brown signed AB 2053 into law, mandating that employers covered under AB 1825 add prevention of abusive conduct (bullying) training into their current workplace harassment training program.
