What Affects the Price of Electronics Manufacturing?

Designing for manufacturability is a methodology that involves designing a part or product with the assembly and handling stages in mind. Designing for assembly (DFA) specifically targets the assembly operations, while designing for handling (DFH) specifically targets the handling operations. By considering and understanding the unique challenges faced in each stage, design engineers are better able to create a design that overcomes them, resulting in a part or product that is quicker and easier for workers to assemble and handle and, consequently, cheaper to manufacture.
