Characteristics of ABS Resin During Repeated Recycling

Recycling is important for the environment, but will recycling a material too many times diminish some of its properties? To test this, Alloy Exchange took an ABS resin and molded, recycled, and tested it for five cycles. Over the course of the study, the resin was able to maintain its impact strength, heat deflection temperature, tensile properties, flexural properties, specific gravity, and melt index/flow rate.
