A Non-Affinity Chromatography Resin Alternative for Capture Purification of Antibodies

Protein A affinity purification has multiple limitations in terms of productivity and manufacturing scale and the costs associated with making commercial antibodies, especially biosimilars. Here, we propose a viable alternative, a cation exchange (CEX) resin, Nuvia S, for the capture purification of such biomolecules. We present instances where its use has resulted in a productive and economical purification workflow.
