The need for security, performance and regulatory compliance can put serious and often conflicting pressures on IT. Each of these challenges points to the importance of close collaboration between security and IT operations departments, yet Forbes Insights/ BMC research found clear signs of friction between these groups.
To understand how best to address the SecOps gap, Forbes Insights conducted a survey of 304 executives from a range of industries in North America and Europe in fall 2015. All respondents were from companies with at least $100 million in annual revenue; 27% were from companies with revenue between $1 billion and $5 billion; 23% had revenue of $5 billion or more. In addition, Forbes Insights conducted in-depth interviews with several executives and experts.
