If you’re not part of the 80% of businesses using public cloud, your strategy could be impeding your company’s growth. That’s the key takeaway from Aberdeen Group’s latest report.
In the past, cloud holdouts could point to “security, privacy, and performance concerns” but those excuses are fading. As the report shows, businesses that have leveraged the public cloud are actually more likely to report improved security and faster access to data.
Cloud is also shown to be a driver for new technology adoption and digital transformation. To effectively leverage technologies like AI, the internet of things, virtual reality and deep analytics, you may need public cloud as part of your infrastructure.
Fortunately, integrating the cloud doesn’t mean losing your on-premises systems. By “adding cloud to your IT toolbox” you can create a hybrid infrastructure that preserves investments in on-premises resources while adding cloud capabilities.
