Overwhelmed and Underserved: Patient Perspectives on Diabetes in 2022

Did you know that 1 in 3 diabetes patients don’t trust the U.S. healthcare system? Also, more than half of patients fear they will die from this chronic condition. In particular, Hispanics with diabetes face increased difficulties, such as needing emergency care for life-threatening complications. These are just a few of the astonishing findings in our newly released patient research report, "Overwhelmed and Underserved: Patient Perspectives on Diabetes in 2022" which reveals the mental, financial, and additional health risks this patient population faces. We surveyed more than 4,000 patients in the U.S. to better understand their sense of well-being in the post-pandemic era. The results reveal directly what patients are experiencing and what they desperately need to manage their condition.
